Systems Operations Engineer Global Telco

We are seeking an experienced systems operations engineer to work with a leading telco as a key member of the team with responsibility for a range of web applications deployed to clients which will include applications, operating systems, databases, networks, 3^rd party software etc.

The role will also involve an element of international travel to client sites and the implementation of services.

Responsibilities will include diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving problems within a limited time frame. Liaising directly with customers and working with external software & hardware vendors. Installation of maintenance releases.

Your profile

• You will ideally have worked within a similar type position for a number of years
• Experience working with Solaris 9,10, Linux, & scripting
• Background within java web applications (Tomcat)
• TCP/IP networking skills
• A telco/web background is preferred.
